12,379 posts identified for requirement: MHA

Jammu: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has said that 12,379 posts have been identified in the second phase of the biggest ever recruitment campaign in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to recent report published by MHA , in the first phase of the recruitment campaign 10,000 vacancies were identified in the first phase of which 8575 vacancies have been advertised by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
"As a part of the second phase of the recruitment campaign, 12,379 posts have been identified. The Government of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is in the process of referring these vacancies to the recruitment agencies,” the report reads.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the Himayat Scheme in the program 'Mann Ki Baat' and approval has been accorded for training of 90,792 candidates under the Himayat Scheme," it said.
The report claims that after the revocation of Article 370 and 35 A, Jammu and Kashmir is on path of peace, militancy is on decline while Hurriyat base is diminishing.
“Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory is being brought into the mainstream through employment and skill development,” it said.
Moreover, the report also revealed that,1.77 lakh treatments have been authorised under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Scheme.
"Around 4.4 lakh beneficiaries have been verified in Jammu & Kashmir under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Scheme. Under this scheme, 1.77 lakh treatments have been authorised in the hospitals of Jammu & Kashmir, for which, an amount of Rs 146 crores has been authorized," It reads.
