India logs 31,382 #COVID cases

New Delhi: India registered 31,382 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. This is 1.7 per cent lower than what was recorded the previous day on Thursday, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry.
With the fresh Covid-19 cases, the total caseload in the country touched 3,35,94,803.
As of 8 am on Friday, India's active caseload stood at 3,00,162. In the last 24 hours, active cases decline by 1,478, the health ministry said.
According to the health ministry, India's recovery rate stood at 97.78 per cent.
A total of 32,542 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which pushed the total recoveries to 3,28,48,273 across the country.
The top five states which have registered maximum Covid-19 cases are Kerala with 19,682 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 3,320 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,745 cases, Mizoram with 1,257 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 1,171 cases.
86.6 per cent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 62.72 per cent of the new cases.
318 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 4,46,368.
The maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (152), followed by Maharashtra with 61 daily deaths.
India has administered a total of 72,20,642 doses in the last 24 hours, which pushed the total tally of doses administered to 84,15,18,026.
