Two killed as car rams into stationary lorry

Hyderabad, May 8: Two persons, including a detective Inspector, were killed on the spot when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry at Abdullapurmet in Ranga Reddy district in the wee hours of Saturday.

The accident occurred when the deceased along with their son were proceeding to Hyderabad after visiting Suryapet, police said.

They were identified as Lakshman working in Sultanpur Police station and his wife Jhansi.

Their eight-year-old son escaped unhurt in the accident.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police added.
