Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Navratra with Dandia

Jammu, Oct 07: Today Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated Navratri with great joy and vigour. Students and teachers come in traditional dresses and performed many cultural activities. The celebration was started with traditional Aarti led by the Principal of the school, Mrs. Shuchita Gupta while the programme was managed and executed with the coordination of all the teachers.

The students recited hymns and devotional songs, performed Dandia and also demonstrated the significance and the sequential events on all nine different days through a skit. The students also participated in skit based on the theme of Ramayana.

The Principal, Mrs. Shuchita Gupta said that these types of celebrations inculcate the moral and devotional values among the students. She explained about the different forms of Goddess worshipped during the Navratri. From 1st Navratra to Ninth Navratra we worship Shailputri, Brahmachari, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyani, Kalratri, Mahagouri, Sidhi datri, respectively.She further added that religion is a holistic approach. Significance of the deties pointing the need for deriving solutions to problems and as believed, Durga triumphs over evil, Saraswati removes ignorance and Lakshmi brings prosperity. At last Principal of the school on the behalf of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua wished Happy Navratra to all.
