Omar prays for safe return of CRPF commando abducted by Naxals

Srinagar, Apr 8: Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah on Thursday prayed for safe return of CRPF’s Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) commando who is in captivity of Naxalites.

“Continue to pray that CoBRA commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas is released unharmed & returned to his family at the earliest,” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

Commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas, a resident of Jammu, was taken captive by the Naxals during the ambush in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur that left 22 security forces personnel dead and several others injured.
