DySP who closes case in biased manner too faces seniors’ wrath

Jammu: The Principal Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals (GMC&H) Dr Shashi Sudan was reportedly grilled in the office of the Crime Branch Jammu after her name allegedly surfaced in Physiotherapist appointment scam during her tenure in GMC Kathua as Principal
Crime Branch started re-investigation days after a DySP rank officer posted in the Crime Branch and was Investigation officer of the case filed its closure report terming it as no admitted. The closure report however, did not accept by the office of the Crime Branch Head Quarters owing to the various flaws. Official sources said that the said DySP, however, faced senior police officers wrath.
Additional Director General of Police, Crime Branch Manish Sinha however, when contacted said that the Superintendent of Police can divulge the details.
Meanwhile sources in the Crime Branch informed that Dr Shashi Sudan, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, during her tenure in GMC Kathua was member of the appointment committee of the Physiotherapist. Those who did not find their name in the selection list lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch alleging there in that only influential were given preference.
They said that Crime Branch during initial probe came to know that there was a tempering in the selection list as criteria for the same which ought to be followed was flouted,adding, the probe in this connection is under progress.
Principal GMC Dr Shashi Sudan,however, did not attend the phone calls made to her for comment over the issue. Neither she replied the message.
