ADC Jammu reviews Ramzan arrangements

JAMMU, APRIL 06: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Law & Order) Jammu, Ghan Shyam Singh, today chaired a meeting of the officers of various departments to review the arrangements for ensuing holy month of Ramzan.
The ADC held threadbare discussions with the officers of various departments including, Security, JMC, Traffic, PDD, PHE, Legal Metrology etc besides representatives of religious organizations.
The members of religious organizations projected various demands and sought uninterrupted water and power supply, security and immediate measures for improving sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essentials.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements to provide better amenities to the people and intensify market checking to keep check on overcharging of daily use items. He asked Jammu Municipal Corporation to intensify sanitation operations and ensure cleanliness in and around the Mosques.
The ADC directed the PHE, PDD for uninterrupted water and power supply for the holy month of Ramzan, especially, during Sehri and Iftar to avoid inconvenience to the people.
The ADC directed officers to work in synergy to carry out market checks and to monitor quality of edibles like mutton and poultry. He also stressed on keeping regulation of the rates of commodities. He asked the concerned officers of FCS&CA to ensure adequate supply of ration during Ramzan.
The ADC asked to constitute a joint team of concerned departments to check display/fixation of rates, overcharging and quality of the products especially relates to poultry and meat. He asked all the departments to ensure adequate facilities provided by their respective departments.
