25 passenger vehicles challaned ,One Mini bus seized by ARTO Doda at Bhagwa Bharat Road under “Rapid Road Crosscheck operation"

Doda, April 3: To maintain and follow the latest rate under a notice under government order no TR-27-MVD passenger fare/2017 dated 19.03.2021 issued by ARTO Doda. On basis of Complaints made by the public that vehicles besides issuing Rate list are over charging and not following the guidelines, ARTO Doda along with his team including DYSP traffic Mr Pankaj Sudan (KPS), today rushed on Bharat and Bhagwa road of district Doda as a ‘rapid road cross check operation’ called by ARTO Doda, while interacting with passengers it was found that maximum vehicles were overcharging and not displaying the recently revised rate list issued by authority .RTO Doda while taking action against such seized one mini bus and challaned 25 other passenger vehicles who were found violating traffic norms making sure comfort and time of passengers as well.
"We must safeguard public on road and also no one will be over a charged, I already met Transport operators and other related organizations and informed them, also directed to every vehicle to display fare list on display cabin seat,
I will keep the same process in the following days along with our department as well as local police and take strict legal actions so that law and order will be practically implemented on Roads said RTO Doda Mr Kuldeep Singh.
Adding more on today’s traffic review because of the huge landslide near Sarmoli no traffic was allowed just to avoid traffic jam and hustle on the road.
