Jammu: It may sound bizarre but is a fact that the administration has allegedly demoted a Law official awaiting promotion thus prompting him to lodge a complaint with Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagar.
The Jammu and Kashmir Law Department has allegedly accorded confirmation of its senior officer to the lower rank. Fumigated over the issue, the victim has lodged a complaint, against his colleagues sitting at top level for playing with his career, to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Srinagar.
The complainant has also made his representation before the Secretary Law Department, Civil Secretariat over the issue.
As per the representation made by the victim Khalid Abdullah Shah, the copy of which is in possession of The News Now, he was appointed as Legal Assistant on 18.09.1997 and promoted in the officiating capacity as Assistant Legal Remembrancer on 2003. Vide Government order number 6135 LD ,Estt, 2017 sanction was granted for his officiating promotion as Deputy Legal Remembrancer pending confirmation from Departmental Promotion Committee. He also served on the same post in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu and Directorate of Geology and Mining Department. He was shocked when he saw his name in the list of confirmation as Public Law Officer-lower rank.
“I have lodged a complaint with the ACB and demanded FIR against the officers sitting at the helm of affairs as they have tempered with the official records and played with my career”, said Abdullah when contacted by The News Now.
