Jammu School Education’s Counselling Cell to conduct ‘Tamanna’

Jammu, Feb 23: To enable the stakeholders about the aptitude of classes ninth and tenth students, the Counselling Cell of Directorate of School Education, Jammu to conduct ‘Tamanna’ of Government Schools.

The process initiated for Aptitude testing of students (Tamanna aptitude test) of Government schools, is evolved by NCERT, under the aegis of Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, has evolved an aptitude test for senior school students named as ‘Tamanna’ (Try and Measure Aptitude and Natural Abilities) to enable the stakeholders to know the aptitude of classes 9 and 10 students.

The aptitude test covers seven areas of Language Aptitude (LA), Abstract Reasoning (AR), Verbal Reasoning (VR), Mechanical Reasoning (MR), Numerical Aptitude (NA), Spatial Aptitude (SA) and Perceptual Aptitude (PA) along with Technical Manual, that thereby helps students of Class 9 and 10 make a better choice of subjects, eventually helping them in making an informed decision while choosing subjects in Class eleventh and Twelth.
