J&K reports fresh 64 +ve cases, Ladakh records 12

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 64 fresh COVID-19 cases mounting the tally to 1,24,083, however no fatality was reported in the last 24 hours.

According to official statement issued in this regard, of the fresh cases, 25 were reported from Jammu division and 39 from Kashmir. “Jammu district reported the highest 23 cases followed by 22 in Srinagar district while

Bandipora, Kulgam, Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch and Reasi districts did not report any new case”, the statement added. “The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 1,084, while 1,21,070 patients have recovered till date, the statement said adding the death toll stands at 1,929. According to the statement, among the total 1,24,083 positive cases in J&K, 11,549 have been reported as travellers while 1,12,534 as others.

Meanwhile twelve new cases of coronavirus were reported in Ladakh, raising the contagion tally to 9,687 in the Union Territory.

“Ladakh has so far recorded 129 COVID19-related deaths, 85 in Leh and 44 in Kargil.

Nine more patients have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. All the nine patients who were cured after successful treatment are residents of Leh, bringing down the active cases in the district to 61, they said, adding that there are only four active cases in Kargil district”, the officials informed.
