Volleyball, Kabaddi matches under way in Jammu edition of Premier League, winners sail into next round

Jammu: The matches in the discipline of Volleyball, Kabaddi were underway and the winning teams entered the next round of the ongoing Premier Edition of Jammu Premier being held at different venues here in the Winter Capital.

As per official communiqué, on the third day of Jammu District Premier Volleyball league being organized by J&K Sports Council in collaboration with Volleyball Association of J&K, four matches were played at play field, Shastri Nagar, Jammu

Top six teams of Jammu district are in fray in the prestigious league being conducted for the first time in four identified games.

In Sunday’s matches Allah volleyball Club beat Pinto Club Akhnoor by 3-2 sets, Pinto Club Jammu beats Trikuta Salehar by 3-0 sets, Border Lines Planwalla beats Jammu Spikers by 3-0 sets and in the fourth match, Border Lion Planwalla beat Pinto Club Akhnoor by 3-0 sets.

The matches were officiated by a panel of VFI national referees Bhawana Sharma, Amarjeet Singh, Aashiq Hussain Mulak, Raj Sharma and Imtiaz Ahmed.

Vijay Kumar Magotra, General Secretary, Volleyball Association of J&K was the guest.
Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council supervised the events.

Meanwhile in Kabaddi discipline being held at Bhagwati Nagar, Indoor Sports Hall, Jammu, M A Stadium defeated Kings Sports Club by one point, in the second match, Kings Sports Club defeated Akhnoor Sports Club by 36-24, in the third match, M A Stadium defeated Baba Jitto Club with one point, in the fourth match, DBP Sports Club outclassed Baba Jitto Sports Club in neck to neck fight 40-34 and in the last match, Kings Sports Club beat Nagrota Warriors 38-15.
