Atmanirbhar Bharat policy makes positive impact on local farmers lives in J&K

Jammu, January 12: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Atmanirbhar Bharat policy of the Central Govt is making a huge impact in the lives of local farmers and boosts the prosperity of medium and small landholders.

In Doda district, one of the best Atmanirbhar Bharat policy models to showcase is the cultivation of lavender in different parts of the region. District Administration has motivated the local farmers to shift to cash crop cultivation from conventional farming.

Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh, who is also Member Parliament from Doda-Udhampur-Kathua constituency, has welcomed the steps taken by Doda District Administration for encouraging local farmers to take up cultivation of crops which have a huge potential in the commercial as well as in medicinal markets.
