Pakistan ceasefire violation: Army Havaldar succumbs to injuries

Jammu, Nov 21: An Army Havaldar lost his life as Pakistan fired unprovoked along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

Defence spokesman here said that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera Sector of District Rajouri.

"Own troops responded strongly to the enemy fire," he said adding that in the incident, Havaldar Patil Sangram Shivaji was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries.

Havaldar Patil Sangram Shivaji of Kolhapur, Maharastra, was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier.

"The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty," he added.
