Security forces launch CASO in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Oct 19: Security forces on Monday afternoon launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir, official sources said.

On a tip-off about the presence of militants, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint CASO at Dangerpora, Sopore, in Baramulla this afternoon.

All the exit points were sealed and a house-to-house searches were being conducted, they said, adding that so far no contact was established with the militants.
