Jammu, Sep 17: Education is not to be restricted to the four walls of a classroom and transcend beyond the school premises. Hence in the pursuit of excellence and professional grooming, the children are taken for field trips to various places in sync with the syllabus content.

Goenka organised educational visit for the students of class II to the neighbourhood services. The visit started from the Police Station, Gandhi Nagar. Students had taken a complete round of the police station campus, saw the men in khakhi from close quarters and interacted with them very freely and frankly. This interaction gave them the confidence that the men in khakhi are always there for the protection and help of the citizens. They also visited some lock-ups and saw some criminals lying on the floor in a cell. The Sub Inspector on duty addressed the kids and inspired them to be worthy citizens of the country. They also witnessed different types of guns over there. Having seen the modern weaponry, some children expressed their desire to join the Police services. The staff of the police station warmly treated everyone and served them refreshment.

After that the students proceeded towards the fire station. There the manager of the fire station explained the students about the fire station and all the fire fighting equipments. They also gave the live demo to the students about their functioning in the wake of crisis. Last but not the least the students reached to the park, they had their lunch & enjoyed the visit.
