Hit & run case solved, accused arrested
JAMMU: Talab Tillo police solved hit and run case by arresting the accused.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Post Talab Tillo that a Swift Car bearing registration number JK02BD-6333 rashly driven by some unknown person hit a scooty bearing registration Number JK02AH-8665 near Pencil factory on Akhnoor.
Due to accident, rider of Scooty identified as Rahul Kumar, son of Ajay Kumar of Jawahar Nagar Talab Tillo and pillion rider namely Rihthik Jamwal, son of Vikramdev Singh of Priyadarshani Lane Talab Tillo Jammu sustain injuries. Both the injured persons were shifted to GMC Jammu, where doctors declared Rahul Kumar as brought dead.
On this information, a case under FIR Number 125/2020 under section 279, 337 and 304-A IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad.
A special police team was constituted by DySP Headquarters Jammu to search for the accused.
After hard efforts, a team from Nowabad Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Jasrotia and assisted by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo SI Kali Charan arrested the accused from Bakshi Nagar with the help of CCTV footage and technical assistance.
The accused has been identified as Vipul Basin, son of Jagdev Raj Basin of Rajpura Mangotrian District Jammu. The car involved in the accident was seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
