VP, three more Muslims, in BJP national team

JAMMU: The seventy-member new team of BJP office bearers has four Muslims including one among the twelve national vice presidents.
Fifty three year old AP Abdullakutty, from Kerala, is among the twelve new BJP national vice presidents announced by the party president JP Nadda in major shakeup today. Abdullah Kutty has served as Lok Sabha MP twice and a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly also twice.
He had joined BJP in June 2019 and had earlier been with the Communist Party and the Congress.
Besides Kutty the three other members in the BJP national team are Shahnawaz Hussain, Syed Zafar Islam and Jamal Siddiqui. While Hussain (Bihar) and Islam (UP) are among the spokespersons, Siddiqui (Maharashtra) is new head of the minority morcha.
