DGP sanctions certificates, cash reward for 25 CRPF personnel for CT operations

Srinagar, Sep 25: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh has sanctioned commendation certificate Class Ist alongwith cash reward in favour of 25 personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for showing excellent presence of mine and Counter Terrorist (CT) operations in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said on Friday.

He said Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Nounihal Singh, Head Constable (HC) Rajesh Kumar and Constable (CT) Narendra Kumar of 19 Batallion CRPF were awarded commendation certificate Class Ist and cash reward of Rs 20000 and 15000 each respectively for showing excellent presence of mind and swift action during militant attack on August 17, 2020 at Kreeri in Baramulla in north Kashmir.

He said 17 personnel of Quick Action Team (QAT) of 176 Batallion CRPF were awarded Commendation Certificate alongwith cash reward of Rs 5000 each for their excellent performance in CT operations. They included one Inspector, one ASI, two Head Constables (HC)12 contables.

Further, he said, DGP also sanctioned Commendation certificate and cash reward of Rs 5000 each in favour of five CRPF personnel of G 176 Batallion. They included one Sub Inspector (SI) and four constables.
