UDHAMPUR POLICE ARRESTED 02 DRUG PEDDLERS ALONG WITH POPPY STRAW AT UDHAMPUR

Jammu: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Police Party of Police Station Udhampur apprehended two drug peddlers and seized 108 kg of poppy straw from the smugglers.

During a routine naka checking police Team of PS Udhampur stopped one truck bearing registration number b PB02BV 7767 for checking at Jakhani Naka, NHW, Udhampur.

During search of said vehicle, 108 kg of poppy straw like substance was recovered from its driver namely Kashmir Singh S/O Gareeb Singh R/O Merka, Amritsar and Resham Singh S/O Lal Singh R/O Chande, Amritsar

The accused persons were arrested and the suspected poppy straw was also seized and a Case FIR NO. 435/2020 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act was registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
