Army Chief Narvane visits Central Command HQ in UP, meets Governor, CM

Lucknow, Aug 7: Chief of the Army Staff, General M M Naravane visited the Central Command Headquarters here in Lucknow Cantonment on Friday.

The Chief of Army Staff was briefed by Lieutenant General I S Ghuman, Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Central Command on both operational and administrative aspects.

General Naravane expressed satisfaction on the efforts being made to ensure capability enhancement and operational effectiveness of the forces and development of infrastructure in the Central Sector.

He conveyed his appreciation to the Central Command for achieving a high degree of operational preparedness. The army chief was appreciative of the efforts being put in by the soldiers in the forward areas operating in very difficult weather conditions in High Altitude areas.

Before departing from Lucknow, General Naravane also called on Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
