'No poverty and sickness in the reign of Lord Rama'
New Delhi: The Central working president of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Alok Kumar on Monday said the effort to rebuild Ram Temple at Ayodhya is a campaign for the establishment of “Ramatva” in the whole world for “Ram Rajya”.
“This massive effort is not only to build one more Temple,” Kumar said, adding that the ideal of Ram Rajya could be achieved by involvement of all sections of society with a sense of mission.
VHP had led the movement Ram temple construction.
Elaborating on the concept of ‘Ramatva’, Kumar said there was no poverty and sickness in the reign of Lord Rama.
“The Ramatava will descend by establishing a harmonious society based on equality where every person will be treated with dignity.”
“Everyone would be assured with the food, clothing and shelter along with education and gainful vocations. The family values will be respected and everybody would have the opportunity to elevate himself to realise the Supreme Goal,” Kumar said.
For this purpose, with the cooperation of VHP more than one lakh ‘Ekal Vidyalayas’ function in the country.
It shall speed up the spread of education, sanskar, sanitation, organic agriculture and self-sufficient villages through the ‘Vidyalayas’.
The VHP’s thrust will be to speed up efforts for better education, health and income generating pursuit for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
“The VHP shall, for this purpose, act as a ‘bridge’ between the government welfare schemes and the beneficiaries,” Kumar said.
The VHP will also work to strengthen the traditional family system of “Bharat”, besides promoting social harmony.
Its other areas of focus will be development of the cow and its progeny, cow-based products and organic agriculture.
It will work to make India self-reliant -- an echo of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat”.
