Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh passes away at 64

Jammu, Aug 1: Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh passes away at 64 in Singapore. A recent news report said he was in ICU and his family was by his side. Earlier, Singh had suffered kidney failure in 2013.
Earlier today, he had tweeted a tribute to freedom fighter and educationist Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his death anniversary and also wished Eid Al Adha to all his followers.
According to the latest details, Amar Singh had recently undergone a second kidney transplant. The transplant was successful and he was recovering. However, there was a wound in the wall of his abdomen which wasn't healing and became infectious. The infection made it difficult for him to survive. The doctors tried to revive him but failed.
Singh's mortal remains are being handed over to his family, and will most likely be brought to Delhi.
