10 vehicles engaged in illegal mining seized

Jammu (Jhajjar Kotli), Aug.01 : Ten vehicles engaged in illegal mining were seized in Sub Division Nagrota. As per police sources, tightening noose against illegal mining operational in river Tawi area and many adjoining streams in violation to High Court orders, various teams led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Rajesh Khajuria, Incharge Police Post Manwal SI Vikram Singh jasrotia and Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Ayub Khan under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma seized 10 vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02BU-7566, JK02CM-2493 JK14E-9567, JK02CH-6937, JK14G-0640, JK14F-1731, JK14G-4085, JK02AJ-9137, JK14F-9942 and JK02AX 7199. Many raids were conducted by different squads of police in which more than 31 vehicles were seized in last week under different sections of law for illegal mining. The drive is being conducted intensively and will be consistent in coming days seeking public cooperation.
