Yudhvir Sethi presents cricket kit to players

Jammu: J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi along with party leader Nitish Mahajan presented a cricket kit to the young players here on Wednesday to boost their morale high due to suspension of sports activities across the world amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi said that sports apart from helping youth to be physically fit, also inculcates leadership qualities among them. He said Jammu has traversed a long way over the years with its youth making big mark in every sphere of activity-art, sports, academics and culture.
“There is nothing to look back for our young achievers, as sky is the limit for their talent, which they have shown by putting in their best to the sport or activity they have chosen for themselves”, Sethi said while advising the cricket players to concentrate on the game alongside academics.
Sethi wished the young boys all the success in their future endeavours and hoped that they will emerge as a brand ambassador of successful youngsters of Jammu, who are excelling in every field, especially the academics and sports.
Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to involve youth in sports, Sethi said the idea is "Kheloge to Khiloge (Those who play, they shine)" to develop the overall personality of the youth.
Sethi that BJP Government at the Centre is fully committed to promote sports culture and integrating it with health and education. He said BJP would provide all possible help in the promoting the game to its highest pinnacle.
Nitish Mahajan, BJP leader expressed happiness over the Jammu city emerging as a hub of sports activities in the recent years and hoped the talented ones will make their mark at national and international levels. He stressed the need for adequate exposure to youth evincing interest in various sports competitions, saying their love and passion for the games is admirable.
Mahajan sought adequate openings and facilities for the youth to demonstrate their talent and capabilities.
