BJP Mahila Morcha performs “Havan” on completion of "Gayatri Mantra jaap" aspiring relief from Corona

Jammu: BJP Mahila Morcha under the leadership of its J&K President Sanjita Dogra performed "Samuhik-Havan"(Group Havan) on completion of “Gayatri Mantra Jaap” aspiring relief from Covid 19 worldwide. Whole programme proceeded and culminated at Shree Ram Mandir, Purani Mandi, Jammu.
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina along with MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, Vice President Yudhvir Sethi, State Secretary Rekha Mahajan, District President Vinay Gupta, Dy. Mayor Adv. Purnima Sharma, Prabhari Mahila Morcha Anuradha Charak, former MoS Priya Sethi, Seh-Prabhari Veenu Khanna, Ex-President Mahila Morcha Rajni Sethi, General Secretaries Updesh Andotra, Neha Mahajan, Urvashi Gupta and women activists were present on the occasion. Rituals were performed under the guidance of Mahamandaleshwar Mahant Shree Rameshwar Das.
Hundreds of women assembled on Wednesday morning with the Hindu priests and started putting organic disinfectants in the alter of fire called "Havan".
On the occasion, Ravinder Raina said that the main objective behind organizing the “Havan” was to eliminate viruses through environmental impacts of herbal Havan. Gayatri is a universal prayer that is addressed to the transcendent divine. The Gayatri Mantra is sacred and is considered the "Mother of Vedas "The chanting of Gayatri mantra is good for spiritual seekers everywhere irrespective of nationality, race, religion, faith and gender. He added that it is believed that by chanting Gayatri mantra, one can achieve success and happiness in life and with regular chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, one can firmly establish and stabilize the mind.
Along with these cultural beliefs and rituals, in these troubled times of Covid-19; social distancing, use of sanitizers face covers and all the Lockdown rules must be followed by the people, he stressed.
Former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta congratulated the Mahila Morcha activists for organizing such type of spiritual programme during this troubled times of Covid-19.He said that the chanting of Gayatri Mantra is to pray for every family stricken with grief and devastated with tragic loss.
Morcha President Sanjita Dogra thanked all the “Matru Shakti” of Districts and Mandals to make the chanting of Gayatri mantra a big success to ward off corona virus. She said that Gayatri mantra is considered as a powerful Vedic Mantra and by chanting it directly affects breathing and hence indirectly provides relief in asthma and regular recitation improves heavy breathing problems as it also improves the functioning of the lungs which the people suffering during Covid -19 pandemic.
BJP Vice President & Prabhari Mahila Morcha Anuradha Charak said that chanting of mantras in our Hindu scriptures has had a tremendous impact on our life span and regular chanting of Gayatri Mantra improves concentration and learning and it improves breathing and functioning of the nervous system, removes the negativity and chanting of Gayatri Mantra calms the mind which reduces stress and anxiety during Covid -19 pandemic.
