Dir Horti takes stock of developmental activities at Budgam

SRINAGAR, MAY 29: Director Horticulture Kashmir, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat visited district Budgam & inspected various developmental activities started by the department.
The Director inspected fruit plant nursery Footlipora and instructed concerned officials to follow strictly the SOP related to Covid-19.
The Director also instructed Chief Horticulture officer Budgam to ensure distribution of PP kits, face masks and gloves among nursery and other field staff. He emphasized to develop departmental nurseries as a model on scientific lines so that people are benefited by providing quality plant material.
Later, the Director presided over an officers’ meeting at Budgam wherein Horticulture Development Officers were instructed to remain available for orchardists of their respective areas in order to provide timely technical guidance.
The Director instructed all officers to address the farmers issues on priority through field visits and WhatsApp groups created for the purpose.
