CF visits Bandipora, reviews functioning of the division
BANDIPORA, MAY 28: The Conservator of Forests (CF), Srinagar Circle, Zubair Ahmad Shah, today, visited Bandipora and reviewed the functioning and overall protection scenario of the Forest Division, Bandipora. The officer visited Kudara Forests of Ajas Range and took stock of the developmental works coming up there besides road side plantation started by the department on Arin-Surinder road.
While inspecting compartment 115/Kh, the officer found some Kotha structures constructed and directed DFO Bandipora to take up the matter with DFO Demarcation for a fresh demarcation of the site. He asked the concerned officer and other field functionaries of the department not to allow any construction work there till demarcation is done afresh.
The Officer also visited Athwatoo and Pannar block and interacted with the front-line workers of the Division and listen the problems they are faced during current situation. He directed them to remain extra vigilant round the clock and make frequent inspections of the susceptible areas and ensure safety of green wealth.
The Conservator was accompanied by DFO Bandipora, Range Officers and other forest officials of the Division.
