Inspects availability of facilities at administrative quarantine centre


GANDERBAL, MAY 25: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal along with ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, today visited various areas of the district to have firsthand appraisal of adherence of guidelines of lockdown 4.0 by the people while carrying permissible activities.
The areas that were inspected during the visit included Nagbal, Duderhama, Touheedchowk and main market Duderhama.
During the visit the DC interacted with shopkeepers and commutters who were made aware about the usage of face masks, social distancing, personal hygiene in view of COVID-19 epidemic and were urged to follow other related guidelines for carrying permissible activities with letter and spirit.
Meanwhile DC also thanked the people of district for following guidelines amid COVID-19 epidemic especially for offering eid prayers in their homes and avoiding gatherings in public places and sought same cooperation to defeat the virus and make district Covid-19 free hence onwards.
The locals appreciated district administeration for taking all necessary steps to contain the spread of infection and assured full cooperation to it in its efforts for eradicating the infection in the district.
Later DC also visited Sainik School Manasbal which is designated as administrative quarantine centre and inspected arrangements being put in place for inmates.
The DDC expressed satisfaction over the status of arrangements in place for facilitating the people in administrative quarantines and asked the officers to ensure greater coordination at all levels so that adequate arrangements and logistics work smoothly.
He stressed on the need of strict adherence to all the prescribed guidelines especially maintaining social distance besides providing other services to inmates to prevent the spread of corona virus.
