Mitigation efforts for Covid-19 discussed with BDC chairperson in Samba

SAMBA, MAY 19: District Magistrate Samba, Rohit khajuria today held a meeting with block development councils, chairman regarding mitigation efforts for containing covid-19.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Shakti Pathak, Additional Deputy Commission Vikas Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman besides chairman of block development councils were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner informed regarding steps taken by district administration to contain the spread of Covid-19, including imposition of section 144 of CrPc, scheduled opening of shops, setting up of quarantine centres in the district besides regular sampling and tracing of covid-19 suspected cases.
The Deputy Commissioner asked BDC Chairman that close watch is to be carried out in the panchayats and any suspected or persons with travel history from outside state shall be reported immediately. He exhorted upon Chairpersons of block councils to identify panchayat ghars, community centre/halls in each block for providing quarantine centre facilities.
Directions were also issued to RDD Department regarding ensuring proper facilities of toilets in the rural quarantine centres.
