Blacktopping work on Assar-Thathri National Highway stretch in full swing at Doda

DDC inspects progress, directs for early completion of work


DODA, MAY 19: In order to improve the present National Highway road condition, NHIDCL authorities have started the blacktopping of Assar- Thathri National Highway stretch on war footing in Doda. The blacktopping has been started by the executing agency on the directions of District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode.
It was informed that the blacktopping work has been started in the district from Assar towards Khaleni & Thathri on war footing to ensure hassle free plying of vehicles on the respective stretch.
Besides, the official also informed that they are also ensuring the removal of slides along with the respective road and are also constructing temporary drains where there is water logging problem on priority basis.
Meanwhile, the DDC today inspected the ongoing blacktopping work and directed the executing agency to compete the work under the stipulated time frame and as per the designated protocol of the NH road. He also directed them to ensure all the safety measures is being taken into account without any fail, besides the DDC also informed that it will reduce the travel time in a comprehensive manner.
The PRIs and the people living along with the national highway have extended gratitude to the district administration and NHIDCL for initiating blacktopping work and fulfilling the long pending demand of the general public with utmost importance and care.
The work is being done under the close supervision of ED NHIDCL, GM NHIDCL besides by the field engineers of NHIDCL.
