Administrator Auqaf donates 14.50 lakh in DDMF

RAJOURI, APRIL 08: In a bid to raise district level funds to fight the Corona Virus pandemic, the Administrator Auqaf and Chairman Shahdra Sharif shrine committee, Abdul Qayoon Dar contributed an amount of rupees 11 lakhs in district disaster management fund.
In addition, his wife Shamim Akhter also donated an amount of 3.5 lakhs out of her personal savings.
The cheques were handed over to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh in presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Sher Singh in presence of Advocate Tazeem Dar and district officers.
While speaking on the occasion, DC hailed the efforts of Administrator Auqaf and his wife for their donation in the DDMF. He said that it is social responsibility for all to come forward for their help and donate in such funds besides providing essential commodities to the needy families.
DC said that the amount in the DDMF shall be used for the augmentation of the health infrastructure in the district.
