SRINAGAR: A civilian was injured on Saturday after suspected militants opened fire on him in Kulgam district.
The militants fired upon Waseem Ahmed son of Mohammad Amin near his residence at Turigam in the south Kashmir district on Saturday evening, a police official said.
28-year-old Waseem suffered serious bullet wounds in his legs and was shifted to nearby Kulgam district hospital for treatment.
Soon after the incident, the officer said that security forces have launched a massive manhunt to nab the assailants.
