DC kick starts plantation drive at Rajouri

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 28: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today kick started a plantation drive by planting a sapling here in the premises of PWD Dakbanglow. The plantation Drive was organised by J&K Pollution Control Board Division Rajouri.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the drive has been launched by the State Pollution Control Board to enhance the green cover in the district and create an eco-friendly environment.
During the plantation drive, 1100 saplings of different broad leaves, shade bearing and fruit bearing species will be planted in schools and Government offices.
Similar functions were organised in Sunderbani and Nowshera where the drive was launched by Additional Deputy Commissioners, Vinod Kumar Behnal and Sukhdev Singh Samyal.
