DDC Shopian reviews Markhor Conservation Programme

SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 25: District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Chaudry Mohammad Yasin today convened a meeting of officers to review Markhor Conservation Programme in the district.
The programme which is linked with community conservation, is being organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), School for Rural Development and Environment SRDE.
The DDC asked the concerned to convene regular meetings and workshops to train community members in modern resource management skills. He said that the training includes accurate identification of wildlife species and signs of occurrence, proper survey methodology, note taking and data recording.
