DDC Ramban reviews progress under KCC scheme at DLRC meeting

RAMBAN, FEBRUARY, 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the credit deposit ration in key sectors and coverage under Kissan Credit Card Scheme.
The meeting was attended by ADDC. Nawab Din; Manager RBI, Rahul Sharma; Lead District Manager, Shakeel Ahmed Bhat; Director RSETI Subash Chander; DGM-NABARD, Arushi Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, General Manager DIC, AD Employment, bankers and others officers of line departments.
The implementation of KCC scheme was prominently discussed. The DDC directed the bankers to provide Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to all the farmers, especially registered under PM KISAN scheme in district for achieving targets.
It was informed that the banks recorded Rs 1426.98 crore deposits and Rs 606.12 crore credit in the advance sector till December 2019, while the CD Ratio of district increased by 1.62% and stands at 42.47%.
The DDC directed the bankers to redouble their efforts and initiate concrete steps for lending towards core sectors to achieve 100% targets besides improving the CD ratio of the district from 42.47% to national target of 60%.
He directed the bankers to focus more on rural areas for 100% financial inclusion of masses besides providing banking facilities at their doorsteps.
The meeting witnessed threadbare discussion on the centrally sponsored schemes under which loans are provided to the beneficiaries for starting income generating units.
He directed all the banks to take effective measures for ensuing small loans especially in agriculture, education and employment sector, so that majority of the population was benefitted.
Extending loans under MUDHRA, Atal Pension Yojna besides effectively implementing PMJDY, PMJJY, PMSBY, PMAPY and other financial assistance schemes was also stressed upon.
Later, DDC also released a Potential Linked Credit Plan, for 2020-21 for district Ramban.
