DDC Kishtwar holds public grievances redress Camp
KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 20: To redress the problems of the people at their doorsteps, District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara today held a public grievance redressal camp here at Thakrai.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; ACR, Dr. Amir Hussain; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development Kishore Singh Katoch and other District Officers, XENs.
BDC Chairman, Block Thakrai, Kishori Lal Shan and various other speakers projected the issues of public importance of the area.
They sought upgrading of Block Thakrai to Tehsil level, establishment of Primary Health Centre at Thakrai village, Time bound completion of Kuria-Kshwan Road ,establishment of Power Grid station at Thakrai, replacement of damaged electric poles, restoration of Sarawan-Shanan water Canal, supply of High yielding varieties of Horticultural plants to the area for this plantation season etc.
The locals also sought absorption of youth temporarily working with companies associated with development of hydro projects in the district, SRTC buses to the area, issuance of Ayushman Baharat Cards to all the beneficiaries, upgrading of schools, repair of the non functional hand pumps, rationalization of forest divisions among others.
The DDC gave a patient hearing and issued on the spot directions to the concerned authorities in the matters requiring immediate action.
Regarding the demand of establishment PHC, the DDC directed the concerned authorities to submit the feasibility report in a time bound manner. He urged the PRIs to facilitate 100% coverage of farmers of their Panchayats under KCC and APY. He further asked the PRIs to ensure that no household is left out of Jal Jevan Mission.
