Hardeep Bali receives IGNOU gold medal in Journalism & Mass Comm. for topping at all-India level

JAMMU/NEW DELHI: Journalism and Mass Communication Student, Hardeep Kour Bali was awarded gold medal at the 33rd convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the largest Open University in the world at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Campus, New Delhi by Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank", Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

She completed her course in December 2018 with 93 percent marks standing first at all India level.

Amit Khare, Secretary (Higher Education) was also present at the occasion as Guest of Honour alongwith Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU University.

Total 82 students received gold medals in different disciplines whereas over 2.3 lakh students were presented with the degree/diploma/certificates in concurrent convocation functions at 39 Regional Centers across the country.

And particularly in Jammu region, about 10,334 candidates have been declared qualified to receive Degree/Diploma certificates in 33rd Convocation, which include 4,774 Master Degree learners, 5,158 Bachelor Degree learners, 378 learners of Diploma/Post-Graduate Diploma programmes and 24 learners of certificate programmes.
