P K Pole reviews developmental scenario in Doda, stock supply position in Chenab region

DODA, FEBRUARY 14: Secretary Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, P K Pole, Friday reviewed the developmental scenario of Doda district and stock supply position in the region including district Kishtwar, here at two separate meetings.
District Development Commissioner, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode presented the district profile besides overall status of developmental projects, implementation of state and centrally sponsored schemes, scenario of Health service, Education, PDD, PHE, RDD,PWD, status of languishing projects, capex budget achievements, CRF and other development projects taken by the line departments.
P K Pole reviewed the achievements of RDD for the current financial year and asked the concerned authorities to gear up the field functionaries for achieving the allocated target within the fixed timeline. The Secretary was informed about the projects being taken under Jal Shakti Abhiyan in convergence mode, including construction of ponds across the District.
It was informed that 189 Back to Village works have been taken, of which 99 were completed, while the works pertaining to PDD department would be started soon after completing procurement process.
Listing the mega projects of the district, the DDC said that the work on Pul Doda -Beoli road is apace and 90% earth cutting has been done. He also informed about the progress on works of GMC, teaching hospital and about ambitious Sudhmahadev-Khalleni road as well as three tunnel projects.
Secretary exhorted upon the authorities to complete all the projects within the fixed timeline.
Meanwhile, the Secretary Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) also reviewed the stock and supply position in the twin districts of the region.
The Secretary was briefed about the public distribution mechanism of food grains including allocation, availability and distribution. He was also informed about the status of ration cards, sale centres and godowns, winter dumping, availability of POS machines etc.
The Secretary asked the department to fix the targets at Tehsil level so that 100% coverage can be achieved in the twin districts.
The Secretary stressed on Aadhaar enrolment of every consumer and completion of Aadhaar seeding of ration cards by March ending.
