Panchayat by polls-2020: District Election Officer Anantnag reviews preparedness

ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 14: The District Election Officer, Anantnag Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar today reviewed the arrangements for the conduct of By-Elections to the Panchayats 2020 at a meeting held here today.
Threadbare discussions were held with all Nodal Officers on manpower management, implementation of model code of conduct, preparation of identity cards, ballot papers, training and management of polling staff, medical facilities to the polling staff, material management & issuance of ballot boxes, communication planes, preparation of election documents, boarding and lodging facilities, transport plan, arrangements for basic facilities at polling stations, law and order and expenditure monitoring.
The District Election Officer directed the concerned Nodal officers to ensure that all arrangements well in advance for the Panchayat By-polls for the vacant panch and sarpanch seats being held in 8-phases in 16 blocks of the district.
It was given out that training of ROs and AROs will commence from 15th February.
The meeting was attended by ADCs Mr. Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Mr. Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, ACR Mr. Syed Yasir Farooq, DSP Anantnag, CEO & all nodal officers of various activities.
