Div Com reviews Beating Retreat arrangements

JAMMU, JANUARY 27: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements for Beating Retreat function to be held at MA Stadium on January 29.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Sport Council, SSP Jammu, ADC Jammu, Joint Director Information, Joint Director Education, besides officers from Army, PHE, PDD, PWD, JMC, Health, Sports Council, Youth Services & Sports, Fire and Emergency Services, Hospitality and Protocol, JKSRTC and other concerned.
Divisional Commissioner appreciated efforts of all the concerned departments for making Republic Day Celebrations a grand success.
He exhorted upon all departments to work in close coordination so that all necessary arrangements shall put in place for Beating Retreat ceremony.
Divisional Commissioner directed Police and Traffic Departments to ensure adequate arrangements of security and proper traffic management besides the concerned departments to make requisite arrangements for sanitation, Medicare, seating etc.
Earlier, the Div Com convened another meeting to review the status of land acquisition and requisition cases of Army, CRPF and BSF.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Jammu, Senior Army Officers and other concerned while Deputy Commissioner Samba and Kathua along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The DCs apprised the Div Com regarding present status of land requisition and acquisition cases of Army, CRPF in their respective districts.
The Div Com sought case wise details of land acquisition, requisition cases and asked the DCs for resolving all the pending land acquisition and requisition cases of Army and CRPF.
