New Delhi, Jan 27: Attacking the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party for supporting the CAA protestors, the BJP on Monday said Shaheen Bagh is emerging as a textbook case of a few hundred people seeking to suppress the peaceful majority.

'The millions who are silent, but are in trouble with these protests, also have their right to freedom of speech and expression,' said Mr Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad addressing a press conference here.

He said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal are silent on this issue.
'Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia are silent on the issue but their people are speaking,' he said.
Mr Prasad, flanked by party leaders Meenakshi Lekhi and Vijay Goel among others, said Shaheen Bagh has become a platform for people who are trying to divide India.

He stressed that the country will not be allowed to be divided and action will be taken against the culprits.

'Children are not allowed to go to schools, people are not allowed to go to offices and the ambulances carrying ill are not allowed to pass,' he maintained.

'The Constitution is discussed a lot these days, and the freedom of speech. Is freedom limited to some specific people?' he asked.

Right to speak is for everybody, Mr Prasad said, adding that silent voice of lakhs of the people is not being heard who are suffering because of such protests.

This is the true face of Shaheen Bagh and uncovering it in front of the country is very important, he emphasised.

He said Jinnah's name has also made an entry into Indian politics these days. 'Mani Shankar Aiyar puts all his opinions out in Pakistan. His friends keep dividing the nation and talk about Jinnah,' he said.

Lashing out at the principal Opposition Congress, he said, 'I want to say this to Congress clearly, that there would be no partition of India here on'.

When Pakistan was formed, the minorities from there have been treated poorly, he said.
'I have been told that a Hindu daughter has been abducted yesterday. What will they say about this?

How these refugees have fled from Pakistan and Afghanistan is a painful tale,' he stated.
