DC Kishtwar felicitates officers for outstanding performance under BBBP

KISHTWAR, JANUARY 24: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana felicitated officers for their outstanding performance and also released coffee table book showcasing the achievements made during one year (2018-2019) under “Beti Bachao Beti Padao”.
District Administration also celebrated National Girl Child Day to spread awareness about saving the girl child and educating them.
ADDC Mohammad Hanief Malik, ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch, Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, Nodal Officern BBBP Anoop Kumar, district officers, scores of NSS volunteers from GDC Kishtwar, Asha and Anganwari workers, students besides other participants and Incharge Cultural Cell Avi Sen were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC stated that there is no difference between girl and boy child and both should be treated equally by the parents and society.
DDC said that girls are making their presence in every field whether sports, literature, science, education. He further stated that we have to aware the common masses so they will change their mind set regarding issues like female foeticide, protection for the girl child etc and district administration is also having check on them.
Women Welfare Officer, Roohie Shamma sensitized the participants about various schemes related to girl child, women centric schemes, importance of celebration of girl child day and enjoined upon all the participants to aware the people regarding the same.
