SRINAGAR: Three former Chief Ministers Dr Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti besides about 20 other ex ministers and legislators and leaders of different political parties remained under detention since August 5.

Internet service of all Cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Broadband, remained suspended in the Kashmir valley since August 5, when the Centre scrapped Article 370 and divided the state into two Union Territories (UTs).

Professionals, media persons, students and traders continued to suffer due to suspension of internet service in the Kashmir valley.

Though authorities have restored broadband service to government hospitals recently, doctors in these hospitals continued to suffer as they have still no access to internet.
