DDC Bandipora reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 21: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today reviewed the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Executive Engineer PHE and other senior officers of the district.
On the occasion, Shahbaz Mirza said under Jal Jeevan Mission (Har Ghar Nal) the recent survey report provides complete detail of households with and without functional tap water connections in the district.
He said after obtaining the survey results, PHE Department has been asked to provide functional Household Tap Connections to unconnected 13778 HHs of the district.
He said the report provided all vital statistical inputs that are prerequisite for proper planning, execution and monitoring of PHE Schemes.
It was given out that action plan for implementation of JJM has been formulated and efforts are being made to provided water supply to left out households.
The DDC urged the officials to fill the gaps for effective implementation of JJM which envisages to provide every household Piped Water in the district as providing safe drinking water to all is the core of this Mission.
