DDC Kishtwar holds joint meeting of BDC Chairpersons, BDOs

KISHTWAR JANUARY 21: District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana chaired a joint meeting of Block Development Council Chairpersons and Block Development Officers to ensure that the newly elected BDC Chairpersons play pivotal role in the development of rural areas.
During the interactive session, DDC reiterated that all the BDC chairpersons should work in close coordination with all the line departments so that the intended benefits of various schemes run by different departments reach the beneficiaries.
He further directed that all the developmental plans should be finalized only after they are approved and passed by the Gram Sabhas. He said that special focus should be laid on the Jal Jeevan Mission Plan and asked the Chairpersons to actively participate in the base line survey of JJM which intended to provide piped water supply to all rural and urban household in the District.
BDC Chairpersons were further asked to monitor all the developmental works in their respective Blocks and to report any mismanagement in execution of the work.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd Hanief Malik, Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Katoch and all the Block Development Officers were present in the meeting along with BDC chairpersons.
