Visits LPG bottling plant at Pampore


GANDERBAL, JANUARY 21: Secretary, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Pandurang Kondbarao Pole today visited Ganderbal and chaired a meeting of officers to review the position of essential commodities and other supply position in the district.
The meeting was attended by Director FCS&CA Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Additional Secretary FCS&CA, Mehraj-u-din Khan, Deputy Director Legal Metrology, Assistant Director FCS&CA Ganderbal, Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Ganderbal, Chief Inspector FCS&CA Ganderbal, TSOs besides Gas dealers of IOCL, BPCL and HPCL.
The Assistant Director FCS&CA Ganderbal briefed about the stock position of essential commodities besides stock and supply position of petroleum products in the district.
The meeting was informed that 20,313.22 Qtls of Rice, 24000 Ltrs of Kerosene oil, 125000 Ltrs of Diesel, 79000 Ltrs of Petrol besides 1155 LPG cylinders are available in the district.
The Secretary also sought the details of market checking in the district and was informed that 1050 establishment units were checked out of which 105 units were found defaulters and Rs 8,950 was recovered as fine. He directed the AD Food to intensify the market checking besides conducting special inspection of various refilling stations and pumps in district to verify delivery of exact fuel volume and rates. He also directed taking strict action against defaulters to curb price hike and hoarding of essentials.
The meeting also discussed the status of Aadhar seeding of Ration cards in the district. It was informed that 84% of Ration Cards are seeded with Aadhar.
Directing the officials to ensure adequate proper stocking of commodities, he said measures should be taken for timely deliverance of these commodities to the people so that they don’t face any difficulty during the winter months. Later, he also visited several sale centres and district Godown where he inspected the stocking and availability of essential commodities.
Later, Secretary visited Hindustan Petroleum (HP) LPG bottling plant at Pampore where he directed the company to keep sufficient stocks of cylinders readily available for the consumers.
He was accompanied by Director FCS&CA Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Additional Secretary FCS&CA, Mehraj-u-din Khan and other concerned officers.
During the visit, Mr. Pole was informed that 90000 LPG cylinders are available at the plant while more than 1 lakh LPG cylinders are in transit. He sought weekly report from the concerned officers with regard to availability of petroleum products. He directed the plant manager to ensure smooth supply of stock to all the districts in time. He also stressed on regular and timely supply to far–flung areas of Kashmir division.
The Secretary asked the concerned officers to work with added zeal and dedication so that people don’t face any inconvenience with regard to availability of essential commodities.
