ARMY ORGANISES AWARENESS LECTURE ON HYGIENE AND SANITATION IN RAJOURI DISTRICT

Rajouri, 21 Jan: In an effort to promote awareness about 'Health and Sanitation, Indian Army organised an awareness lecture on “Hygiene and Sanitation” at Youth Centre, Palma in Rajouri District.

The aim of the lecture was to educate students, and youth to accomplish the vision of a clean and serene India. Emphasis was laid on various aspects that are required to be addressed to have a clean surrounding including use of toilets, proper garbage disposal and waste management. The role of the civil administration, as well as each and every citizen, was emphasized upon.

The initiative was greatly appreciated by the locals and they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge imparted to them. Such events definitely have a lasting impact on young population of remote and inaccessible areas that are devoid of basic medical facilities.
