DDC Kishtwar inaugurates cricket tournament

KISHTWAR, JANUARY: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today inaugurated cricket tournament organised by JK Police under civic action plan 2020 at Chowgan Ground.
SSP Kishtwar, Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta, Brigadier 9 RR Vikrim Bhan besides other officer of Army, CRPF, Police and staff members of Sports department along with large number of people were present on the occasion.
Around twenty teams hailing from remote corner of the district participated in the tournament. The inaugural match was played between Young Star Cricket Club Serthal Vs Green Star Malipath in which Malipeth team turned victorious.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kishtwar said that the main aim of organizing this cricket tournament is to nourish the sports talent and development of team spirit in the youth of the district and further advised the youth to also take part in the other sports activities.
