Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign kick starts in Doda

DODA, JANUARY 20: District administration in collaboration with ICDS Department Doda today organized a pledge ceremony based on the theme 'Save and Educate Girl Child' and signatory campaign as a part of the week long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign at Sports Stadium Doda.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Kishori Lal Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Hundreds of students including boys and girls, officers/officials of district administration participated in the program, besides many girl students highlighted the importance of the scheme which aims at empowerment of women in general and girl child in particular.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Doda highlighted the importance of educating and securing girl child and urged for strict enforcement of relevant rules and regulations.
ADC also convened a meeting of District Level Task Force Committee to discuss several activities to be carry out across the district during this upcoming week, which will put special focus on generating awareness regarding various laws meant welfare of girl child.
Senior officers of the concerned departments were present on the occasion.
